Foundation Courses for AIS & CCS and MES Officers Come to an End
The two prestigious Foundation Courses,conducted by Dr MCR HRD Institute for All India Services & Central Civil Services and for Military Engineer Services Officers, came to a spectacular end today. Dr S K Joshi, IAS (Retd), Advisor (Irrigation) & former Chief Secretary to Govt of Telangana, who was the Chief Guest,said that the ultimate purpose of the processes of administration is to ensure that the governance is citizen-centric. He, therefore, called upon the Officers to use the processes to bring about positive change in the nature and quality of life of people.,“All the actions taken by the Officers should contribute to the welfare and development of the last person in the last line”, he observed.
Continuing his address, Dr Joshi,IAS (Retd),called upon the Officers to make a deliberate attempt to develop well-rounder personalities with sense of service and commitment to duty. “The Officers can contribute to make India develop at a fast pace only when they transform themselves into Team Players”, he stated.“Most of the Officers merely learndifferent concepts of administration. But, in order to become efficient Officers, they should understand their successful application on the ground’’, he added.
Sri Benhur Mahesh Dutt Ekka, IAS, DG of the Institute & Principal Secretary to Govt of Telangana, in his Presidential Address, said that the Foundation Courses provided a rare opportunity to the Officers to enrich their profile in terms of Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. However, he called upon the Officers to ensure that learning becomes a life-long process in view of the mind-boggling changes that are taking place in the society. He further advised the Officers to equip themselves with the core Indian values of Compassion, Integrity, Honesty and Peace for All in order to becomenot onlygood Officersbut also equally good human beings.
Sri Vijay Kumar Gupta, IDSE, CE, R & D, who was the Guest of Honour, called upon the MES Officers to keep updating their knowledge of latest technologies in order to extend high-quality engineering support to Army, Navy, Airforce, and DRDO.
On this occasion, Dr Joshi and other dignitaries presented the DG’s Rolling Shields to Ms Dyuthi Kishan, IRPS for best all-round performance in Spl FC and to Mr Akshay Kumar Tamrakarin MES. They presented certificates and medals to the winners in different academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular competitions, and also released the journals brought out by the AIS & CCS Officers and by the MES Officers.
Dr K Tirupataiash, IFS (Retd) welcomed the gathering.Smt Anita Rajendra, IAS, andSmtSrideviAyaluripresented the Course Directors’ Reports for All India & Central Civil Services Officersand for FC for Military Engineer Services Officers, respectively. Mr Abhishek Kumar, Technical Advisor at the Institute conducted proceedings of the function.
