On 12th December, 2022 in Nalgonda Municipality / Town, 116000 NOS of plants
were planted as per the instructions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana Sri
Kalvakuntla Chandra Sekhar Rao Garu with an aim to increase the green cover in
the Nalgonda town. Total Block plantations with durable forestry species like
Neem, Neredu, Marri, Ravi, Juvvi, Nemalinara, Konda vepa, chinta, Arjuna, Kusum,
Mahagony, Badam, Narepi etc., In 6 locations multilayered avenue plantation was
done with Kadamba, Badam, Ravi, Juvvi, Spathodea, Bauhinia, Lagerstroemia,
Neem, Sampangi , Deva Ganneru etc.,
The main of this mission is to make every inch of blank area in Nalgonda
Municipality to cover with greenery. The planting programme is the beginning
and continuous till entire Nalgonda town became full green. The Forest
department staff is deployed for all technical guidance to make it success.
